Overview

14 Days Manaslu Circuit Trek – A Journey Around the Eighth-Highest Mountain

The Manaslu Circuit Trek is one of Nepal’s most spectacular and rewarding high-altitude adventures. The trail circles Mount Manaslu (8,163 m / 26,781 ft), the world’s eighth-highest mountain, and passes through the remote Budhi Gandaki Valley, traditional Himalayan villages, ancient monasteries, dramatic gorges, forests and high mountain landscapes.

The highlight of the journey is the challenging crossing of Larkya La Pass (around 5,106–5,160 m), one of the most spectacular high passes in Nepal.

Unlike more commercial trekking routes, Manaslu offers a peaceful and culturally rich Himalayan experience. The trek passes through the Manaslu Conservation Area, where trekkers can experience Tibetan-influenced Buddhist culture, traditional villages and diverse Himalayan wildlife. Nepal Tourism Board lists March–May and September–November among the best seasons for visiting the conservation area.
