Trip Overview
The Everest Base Camp and Cho La Pass Trek is an adventurous 16-day journey through the spectacular Khumbu region of Nepal. This itinerary first takes you along the classic route to Everest Base Camp, allowing you to experience the legendary Khumbu Glacier, Gorak Shep and the iconic Everest Base Camp. After achieving the EBC goal, the trail continues toward Dzongla and across the challenging Cho La Pass, eventually reaching the beautiful Gokyo Valley.
This route is ideal for trekkers who want to combine the classic Everest Base Camp experience with the adventure of crossing one of the most spectacular high-altitude passes in the Everest region.
Along the journey, you will experience traditional Sherpa villages, Buddhist monasteries, suspension bridges, alpine landscapes, glaciers and spectacular Himalayan views including Mount Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Pumori, Cholatse and Cho Oyu.
Best Time to Trek
Spring: March, April and May
Autumn: September, October, November And December.
These seasons are generally preferred for clearer mountain views and more favorable trekking conditions. Cho La can become significantly more difficult in snowy or unstable weather.
